Day 7: Hualien → Taitung

Angie, you’d definitely love Taroko National Park (太鲁阁国家公园)!! It’s surrounded by mountains plus there’s also a little cafe there which overlooks the waterfall.

You’ve been warned

After the extremely gory/boring Lingzhi-cum-dead-dear hard selling, it was time for lunch at this really small eatery which has the shittiest, stinkiest and darkest toilet I’ve been to – IN TAIWAN. Trust me, despite it being bad, I think there are still a lot of public toilets in Singapore which are worst.

It stinks by the way

Then it was to Chulu Ranch but they dumped us there so we just wandered around looking at souvenir shops and sat on swings where I might have made the most embarrassing chinese error. LOL.

Dinner was at the Hot Spring Hotel (named something) which is the worst meal I’ve eaten but whatever. Didn’t even go to the hot spring because we were so fobbin’ turned off by the enormous crowd and incredibly RUDE Ah Tiongs.

Never mind though, because we crashed into the adults Casino Night! It was quite funny actually, because the past few nights, Uncle Ken had developed a rather "favourable" reputation with the others as being a "lucky" banker to them, i.e. he’s always the one having to give $$$ to others!!

We soon found out ourselves how true it was but that was till he decided to change the deck of cards when luck switched sides – he actually ban-luck three freaking times in a row – 邪门啊!!! And I started loosing :(

From SGD3 to SGD8 to SGD0. Hahahaha. Thankfully I play only SGD1/SGD0.50

幸亏顺势不重.
